At this point I am still trying to decide if I should add red streaks to create drama... but at the same time I like the painting the way it is, it's quite relaxing and serene.

The painting is rich in texture and just draws me in when I look at it. At the bottom, the hues gently flow together, which reminds me of lounging at the beach during the sunset.

Once the painting is done I will post a photo of the image.

Changing Gears: Gala Night of Agents of Change

Agents of Change are raising awareness about issues of poverty and taking action to create positive social change. Their main project right now is "Ride to Break the Cycle", a 3000 km bike ride from Vancouver to Tijuana, Mexico in May 2007.

This event was held to launch the bike ride and raise funds through a silent auction. They are raising a $100,000 microcredit fund to be be distributed as small trust-based loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries.

My painting 'Malate' was donated to Agents of Change for the silent auction!
